We use a subscription model where clients purchase a block of hours for each month, based on a rate well below the rates of AmLaw 50 firms.
This allows a close working relationship between the client and counsel where counsel knows the client’s business well and can proactively anticipate issues. The client can reach out to counsel without concerns about cost and knows what the monthly bill will be.
As a result, we offer top level advice provided with knowledge and sensitivity to the client’s business needs for a lower fee.
About James Shreve
Jim has advised clients about privacy and cybersecurity for over 25 years at several of the country’s top law firms.
He advises all types of companies on the myriad legal concerns surrounding confidential information and how such information is stored and transmitted.
Applying the law to rapidly changing technology and software capabilities, he provides clients with a profile of their potential risk, then works closely with executive leadership, legal, IT, and compliance information security teams to develop a comprehensive and practical plan for risk avoidance and responding to cyber and data issues.
In a security breach, Jim draws on his years of experience handling thousands of incidents to counsel clients through every step of cyber and information security incidents, including notification, reporting,
and all associated state, federal, and global regulatory requirements.
Jim helps clients develop robust and responsive security and privacy policies and governance documents, meet applicable data safeguarding requirements, and implement compliance programs.
Jim presents on a variety of privacy, cybersecurity and AI topics for industry organizations and associations, including the RSA Conference (over 15 presentations and multiple-time Highly Rated Speaker), International Association of Privacy Professionals conferences (over 20 presentations), American Bar Association events, the Privacy + Security Forum, and Mortgage Bankers Association conferences.
He is a Fellow of Information Privacy and holds CIPP/US and CIPT certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
